LinkedIn - Lost access to my account.

Hi, I was asked to verify my account using my government ID, and every single time I proceed with clicking 'Verify Now', it gives me an error saying that the request has already been made. I haven't had access to my account or been able to look for new jobs for a week now.

I have tried contacting every department and submitting tickets with no response. I am extremely frustrated, as this impacts me every day.

I hope there is a way to fix this error so I can proceed with the verification and regain access to my account. This situation is a significant setback in my life, and I hope to hear back soon.

I am locked out with no explanation and locked out of verifying my identity with persona. Zero response from the multiple forms submitted for request and my profile is actively used for my business role. This is incredibly frustrating and I likely will have to open a brand new account.

I mistakenly clicked on a suspicious link, which in turn led to my account being hacked. The hackers then used my account to conduct activities that violated the privacy policies of LinkedIn.

Upon recovering my account, it was already restricted by LinkedIn.

I began to submit my documents to verify my identity using my National Identity Card in order to get my account back, but all that was still unsuccessful. LinkedIn ended up banning my account permanently.

Blocked Account 4+ Months - Significant Loss

I have maintained an active and current LinkedIn professional account for more than 15 years and used this account regularly to build and maintain business relationships. Until December 2024, when, for no apparent reason(s) other than requiring me to verify my identity, LinkedIn has blocked my access to my account since December, forcing me to go through their online verification.

LinkedIn's verification process requires (forces) me to provide facial recognition and a government-issued identity card containing vital personal information sent through a security-laden internet transmission. Ripe for identity theft! LinkedIn, in all their wisdom, does not provide phone numbers for customer service, IT, etc. problems, preventing me and others from contacting them for problem-solving assistance.

I also am prevented from sending an email as the company requires communications through their website, which I am blocked from. Ingenious! With much hesitation, I finally made the attempt to go through the online facial verification then sent in my state-issued driver's license. Result?

Denied as LinkedIn could not verify! Some time later, I went through the process once more, this time using my passport. Result? Denied again!

LinkedIn's lack of professionalism and process controls to mitigate such problems has significantly impacted my business financially and damaged professional relationships. My next step is to contact my state's two federal senators with my complaints and the way LinkedIn forces identity release to its users.

After 15 years those relationships should be established to the point that LinkedIn is not even needed. Expanding your business should be through all those relationships, not still reliant on LinkedIn.

Hacked account

I have received no correspondence for submitting my ID for my hacked account to recover it. Please contact me as soon as possible so that I can access my account and regain it from being hacked.

I received an email very early this morning that my account password was reset from an Android, and I do not own any Android products, only Apple.

LinkedIn has not responded to me and has not sent me any recovery codes for the account. I'm highly disappointed with this service and have been a user for years.
