LinkedIn feels with the right to deliberately restrict your account with the excuse that: We take proactive actions to protect you when we detect potential unauthorized access or other activity that doesn't comply with our policies. We first need to verify your identity to ensure your account safety.

To regain access to your account, please submit a government-issued ID.

LinkedIn should just notify me to please verify if I logged in from a certain area or another, not just flat out restrict and disable the account in the name of safety My recent 3 posts were children planting trees all over the world and conducting cleanups which is what our nonprofit does. Therefore, it can't be anything that doesn't comply with their policies. Because if showing photos of people planting trees is not complying with their policies, they are in infringing freedom of expression positively where our eco soldiers show by example all the positive things that we can do as humans to protect our Planet.

They would be dealt with an Action Class Lawsuit if they continue to disable my account as often as they wish without valid merit. This is the 3rd time they do this.

Then they ask you to verify numerous times to identify yourself by uploading your DL, then they make you forcefully agree that you are ok with them sharing your personal information and google data account with 3rd parties. Which I consider black mail to make you do all these things just to get your LinkedIn in account active again.

People need to know this is not normal or ethical business practice. And if someone truly is being hacked or if they notice unauthorized sign in, then LinkedIn should notify the user via email only to confirm or deny of such suspicious login, not just flat out temporarily restrict the account as they do. This must stop!

Enough is enough.

The first time they did this, they flat out canceled my account with 17,000 plus professional connections.

No social media should have the right to do this to your career that you put so much time and effort to build.

Its almost like you owning your physical business and LinkedIn coming to shut it down just because they feel like it, and then there is no one and nowhere to complain about LinkedIn for them to pay for the financial losses they made you incur for being unable to speak to current clients in way that you used to. Or, meet new clients and business collaborations in the way you need to.

And last, but not the least wipe out all the endorsements and success you had achieved in over a decade of hard work, wipe out the accurate way in which the market should view you, with the right deserved popularity you earned, and the excellent reputation that you earned, as a person, and for your brand.

This deliberate continued sabotage by LinkedIn on targeted individuals must stop.

User's recommendation: There is truly no right way or wrong way to behave on LinkedIn, If they have baseless reasons to sabotage your work and connections on LinkedIn by flat out temporarily or permanently suspending or canceling the account they will. And they will make it very hard and near impossible to recuperate all the connections they erased by canceling the first account you had with 17,000 connections as I had for example. Then be ready for the mind games uploading your DL many times to very your identity and verifying you aren’t a robot by making those silly Assessments they do to see if you are a human or robot

To Whom it May Concern,
I was removed from Linkedin due to my commentary regarding the events STILL unfolding
You will have a record of my comments.
None are racially or religiously motivated and the state the facts about what has gone on since the early 1900s with an occasional reference to Theodor Herzls proposition for a Jewish State.
Whilst some may not like it, everything I have ever stated on the Linkedin Platform is factual, as much as people like to dance around fact.
Israel have been found to be plausibly committing a Genocide and now found to be administering an Apartheid State as more as occupation of the West Bank is accelerating.
Linkedin is a professional platform. Your members are expected to be honest, courageous and offer insight.
I believe this describes every post I have made.
It is those 3 traits that I just mentioned which Linkedin should be coveting.
I would ask that you review reinstating my membership and offer me its reinstatement.
Whilst this particular website is for being pissed, I am not PISSED just incredibly sad to understand that a platform for professional voices, voices that come from people with an innate ability to review information and draw conclusions and make determinations, free of emotion and other influences better than most. And now Linkedin, for whatever reason, seek to crush this innate spirit of the Professional.
I look for to your review of my commentary and indeed your take on my commentary and offer feedback.
Upon reading my words if you feel uncomfortable just swap out select words for Nazi Germany and then see if you give a polite nod.
Thank you.

Why I was banned from the platform

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
LinkedIn - Why I was banned from the platform
Original review Jul 10, 2024

It's been a month. I've had over a hundred emails back and forth with Linkedin support.

I have simply asked why I was locked out of my account on both my laptop and cell phone, if I violated terms what were those terms that I violated, I've requested several times for my content on the website which I was never given a chance to get, and I repeatedly requested to have my business pages pulled as well because I do not want any of my content on their website. For the businesses they told me I'm not the owner. I am the only person who is admin privilege and they are both my businesses. But for all of it they request a government ID which I refuse to give them especially because they will not tell me what they're doing with it or why they are requesting it.

I strongly believe it is because of my conservative leanings but I have no evidence of anything because they just keep asking for my government ID.

I posted videos (fact-checked) that countered daily cable news stories. They locked me out of my personal and business accounts and tried to make me provide government ID to regain access. I've emailed ten times and still have received no answers. They only said they permanently deleted my account (I had been trying to extract my content from the platform, but that request wasn't acknowledged).

I was also trying to close my two business pages, which they said they couldn't do, and that I would have to reactivate my account (again by providing government ID) to remove those accounts from the platform.

They also stopped responding to this matter. Coincidentally, this all happened a day after my posts began to gain traction on their website.

Pros:
  • Good place to disseminate information
Cons:
  • Mostly humble bragging and shallow content

Preferred solution: My content from the platform, and an explain what TOS I violated with my content that allowed them to try to force me to provide them with identification. I also want my business pages that I was told are still live removed from their platform.

User's recommendation: Don't use this platform. In 12 years, it's provided one business opportunity and mainly is no more than people humble bragging in posts.

Account hacker

My account has been hacked. The hacker changed my phone number and password.

I am worried because my information might be on that account. This morning, I woke up and suddenly received an email saying, 'Please verify it's you. I've never reset my password. I don't even know what my password is.' Then after that, it said I had to verify myself.

So, I did that. Six hours later, my account wasn't locked.

So, I tried resetting my password. Then, I also found out my number had been changed to something with the last two digits '69'.

Original review May 16, 2024
Hello guys, I am very confused, upset, and stressed out with LinkedIn. It's been a month now that I can't access my account.

Everything just disappeared for no reason. I have been using that account for the past 3 years, meaning all my professional career is attached to that account. I have been trying to get in touch with LinkedIn, I sent my passport to be identified, I tried to know what is happening. Even my colleagues cannot find me anymore on LinkedIn.

Please, help me. My lifetime professional achievement is attached to this account. I need my account back. When you type my name on Google, it clearly shows that I have an account on LinkedIn, but once you click on it, nothing shows.

Please, LinkedIn I need that account back. I invested so much in it.

Getting charged for job posting.

LinkedIn - Getting charged for job posting.

I didn't get a notification into cancel when I posted it the first time. Then did the second time it asked for a credit card?

I didn't know I was getting charged. They said they were using to verify it is my accoand then they try to pull it out today of 500 and something dollars. How come you don't get a notification to cancel it? And they just want to pull the money out.

And I really thought it was just for security purposes. It is there a way that I do not have to pay this?

I have been completely locked out of my account for months now with no clear explanation as to why. I tried to do the ID verification steps but they simply do not work.

There is only one method and it is to scan a QR code, but the QR code just brings you back to the same exact page in an endless loop. I don't understand why there isn't something in place that would enable me to verify my identity through my email and linking to ID.me.

Charge for Premium Subscription of which I have no record

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I found that I was being charged on my credit card for a Premium Subscription. I wrote to caseresponse at linkedin.com on July 29, 2024: I do not recall ever activating a free trial Premium Career Subscription on December 28, 2023. If I had, I would have received an email to that effect at the time, but there is no such email. Please refund all payments that were taken from my account.

Yehoshua Sivan

caseresponse at linkedin.com wrote back on July 30, 2024:

After a thorough review of your account, we found attempts to charge for the Premium Career Subscription. However, we want to reassure you that your account has not been charged.

I replied:

That's not correct! I was charged the equivalent of $28 (ILS 104.99) on January 28, 2024, February 28, 2024, March 28, 2024, April 28, 2024, May 28, 2024, and June 28, 2024. Please explain why I was charged at all and please reimburse me.

caseresponse at linkedin.com responded on July 30, 2024:

I sincerely apologize for any misunderstanding regarding the charges on your account. Upon reviewing your account, we confirmed that the charges in question were indeed for the Premium Career Subscription renewal (Monthly). Additionally, we have noticed charge attempts made in the past few days. Unfortunately, we cannot issue you a refund for the charges you mentioned. This is based on the billing date and the renewal terms you agreed to when you upgraded. This policy states that all LinkedIn Premium subscriptions may be refundable within 7 days from the date the subscription is charged, without premium usage.

I replied:

Your reply is quite inadequate. If I upgraded, then you must have sent me confirmation of the upgrade. I have no such record.

You wrote:

This is based on the billing date and the renewal terms you agreed to when you upgraded.

Please send me a copy of the billing terms to which I agreed.

caseresponse at linkedin.com replied on August 1, 2024:

Although you claimed you have no trace of applying for a free trial, our purchase history shows that the activation of the free trial was made on December 28, 2023. Unfortunately, we do not have access to the purchase confirmations as they are only sent to the member.

I replied:

You keep ignoring the content of my letters!

You wrote as follows:

When you applied for the free trial on December 28, 2023, you were informed about the terms and conditions at the time of signing up for a Premium Subscription on our desktop site. We also sent you a reminder about the end of your trial and the upcoming charge to your credit card seven days prior to the auto-renewal via email.

I did not apply for a free trial, I have no trace of being informed of the terms and conditions, I did not receive a reminder of the end of the trial and the upcoming charge.

Please respond specifically to these issues, and don't just brush me off with vague reassurances about being happy to assist me etc.

Just do it!

If LinkedIn claims that they sent this information via email, they should have copies of all the letters on my file. As I have no such record, I can only assume that they reactivated a previous Premium Subscription which I successfully cancelled several years ago.
